Hey lovelies! As many of you know (if you’ve been following my Instagram feed and stories), I just came back from New York Fashion Week! Given that the whirlwind of shows, events and photoshoots officially ended on Wednesday, I’m here to finally divulge my thoughts and feelings about the shows I attended.
First, I attended CR Lee Designs’ show with Fashion Gallery NYFW. I loved the deep purple and black color scheme, and all the chain detailing on many of the pieces. The next show I attended was the Designers Premier showcase for FGNYFW, which had various designers showing their collections. My favorite collection was from L. Michelle Intimates because every piece hung beautifully and sensually on the models, and the detailing was gorgeous!
Next, I hit up Pier 59 Studios for my first Oxford Fashion Studios show. I was amazed at the elegance, simplicity and chicness of many of the garments showcased. For example, I deeply appreciated the “blooming” dresses and bold color palette in the FW19 collection by Chaahat Thakker. Farah Naz’s collection wowed with pearls and sparkly gowns, and Minzkou had very whimsical pieces as well. I finished off my NYFW show experience with the Nimari New York runway show, which showcased trendy and chic ready to wear items in cool metallics and bright neons.
I’m greatly looking forward to September New York Fashion Week, and the designs I will see there. Not to mention, it was an amazing time!
