Welcome back, lovelies! In today’s installment of my gift guide series, we will discuss your one makeup junkie friend who lives in Sephora or Ulta, and keeps a beat face! *low-key talking about myself here too, cough cough* These gifts are perfect for the woman who loves everything about makeup, fragrances, skincare, and more.
First on the list is one of my favorite finds this season, the Morphe 35O2 palette. These shadows are perfect for fall, and can be used year-round as great transition shades! I love that this palette is very WOC-friendly, in that the warmth in each shade leaves me glowing and not ashy. Its affordability can’t be beat. This palette has become a staple in my personal makeup collection (and I will buy one for my makeup artist kit soon, too!).
This next item is something that dropped recently, and I’m very excited to try it out. Rihanna already left the beauty world shook this season with her launch of Fenty Beauty, and right when I thought I had recovered and grown my edges back from the first launch, RiRi came through and snatched them again with this red liquid lipstick. It’s supposed to be a universal red, similar to the gloss bomb included in her first launch that I’m in love with. I’m actually hitting up Sephora after work today to pick mine up (after I search for my edges), bless your friends with some too!
One item I have found to be a lifesaver this year has been my light-up makeup mirror. My mom purchased it for me last Christmas, and it’s perfect for getting up close and personal with my face. Whether I’m blending out my crease, applying eyeliner, or the perfect lip color, this mirror is essential to any beauty guru’s vanity table.
Finally, a new favorite fragrance of mine is Gucci Bloom. I recently discovered it at Sephora, after seeing countless commercials about it, and I have to say I really love it. The fragrance is in the floral family, and rolling it on every morning just makes me feel like SO MUCH MONEY. It’s so feminine, pretty and polished. One tip I’ll provide: less is more with this fragrance. It’s very concentrated, so the tiniest amount will last all day and then some. I personally use the rollerball ($34), which is more than enough for me, but there are varying sizes depending on your preference.
Stay tuned for part 3 of the series, coming soon!
